 5.9.2008 INTREPID MEDIA HIRES SENIOR SYSTEM ENGINEER Chapel Hill, NC —- Intrepid Media Inc. has named Kevin Sonney as Senior System Engineer. It is the company's second full-time hire in two weeks and an expansion into a new vertical of consulting. Sonney is an experienced systems, network, and architecture guru with specialties in Linux, Unix, and Apache. He is also a talented Java developer and application designer. This hire allows Intrepid Media to continue to expand its reach in management consulting, technical development, quality assurance, and business development and marketing. “Bringing Kevin on board is a real win for us,” said Joe Procopio, President and Founder of Intrepid Media. "We've got loads of experience on the front end, from project management to applications and web development and plenty of hooks into the business side, and Kevin gives us the knowledge and experience to solidify the systems end. He can go hands on, he can mentor, and he can even strategize on the project and product development. Sonney has a broad range of experience, including diverse positions with Lulu, Red Hat, and DaVinci Systems, and has also consulted in the public sector. He has undertaken leadership positions with technical organizations, such as serving as Chair of the Triangle Linux Users Group for three years.
